Gaur Gopal Das in Aap Ki Adalat: ISKCON monk and motivational speaker Gaur Gopal Das opened up about many aspects of his personal life on Rajat Sharma’s show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. He advised social media reel creators to “not lose peace and life in the pursuit of success.” During this program, Gaur Gopal Das also talked about many untouched aspects related to his life. He also called out the atrocities being committed against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh.

Formula to become a success on social networks

When Rajat Sharma asked how it is so successful on social media platforms because people take years to create reels and don’t get much success, Gaur Gopal Das said, “First thing, being at the right place, at the right time” . When we started our social media journey, social media wasn’t that big. At that time there were not as many influencers on social media and therefore the growth of social media was much easier than today. Therefore, it would be very wrong to say that we have shot very large arrows. Right place, right time.

‘The second thing is coherence. Constancy, keep doing what your passion is. Consistency You must have seen that we have published content on social networks, we keep publishing it continuously and do not think that if this topic does not work then we take another topic. If this doesn’t work, let’s move on to a third topic. If this doesn’t work, let’s move on to the fourth topic. So how do you become competent? Where will excellence come from?

‘Third, authenticity. What will happen if we see someone else doing something and start doing the same? The worm of comparison has entered our minds. Keep looking at others and try to live a life like theirs. Authenticity was not achieved. Well, I’m original. No photocopy or photocopy. God created me to be original. If he had been made to be like someone else, he would have been sent saying, become like him. Your digital footprint is the most unique. One person’s fingerprint does not match another’s. So if the fingerprint is unique, then you should also make your fingerprint unique. Comparison with the prints of others is a difficult task.

‘Fourth thing: don’t chase the numbers. The world of social media has forced us to run after the numbers. You run after the impact, if there is impact then the numbers will come. Even if you don’t come, you have touched someone’s heart, you have changed someone’s life. For example, if you are a makeup artist and someone faces a lot of problems with their appearance, has to go somewhere, and from one of your reels they get a tip and get selected, then you have changed someone’s life. .

He also talked about the dark side of social media.

When Rajat Sharma said that many people had to lose their lives in the process of making the reel, Das replied, “Bashar Nawaz has a famous couplet: ‘Bashar, in the burden of desires, what are you doing?'” I am saying that You have to be successful, you definitely have to become successful. Why not? But in the pursuit of success, you lose your peace and your life. What good is that success? That’s why I think successful social media influencers should. say these things about quantity of people who lose their lives while reeling. There are many people who fall into depression and become frustrated because nothing happens to them. It is the responsibility of those who are successful in this field to tell the truth.

He mentioned a sad incident in his life.

Gaur Gopal Das recounted a sad incident in his life when his father passed away in 2009. He expressed regret for not apologizing to his father before he passed away.

‘My father was a heavy smoker, so his health was deteriorating. We tried so hard to get him to stop smoking, but he couldn’t. So I adopted this strategy that I would stop talking. He stopped talking. Dad came over and over and said: son, speak, son, speak, but I turned my face away. After 2 years, dad fell at my feet and said, son, please stay with me… he cried with me, a lot. Then my mother said, son, this should not be done to the father. He is a father, he also makes mistakes. Who is the milkmaid? We are human beings, speak son. So I started talking that day because my mother told me to. And after a week he left home and went to the ashram. I used to go to the ashram every year to meet him and every year I thought about when I would ask my father for forgiveness, but I could never do it. In 2009, I had returned from my speaking tour in London and one day my mother called me at 1:30 in the morning. Mother was crying. Needless to say, the father had passed away. Before I went to London, I went to meet my father and he said, son, bring me your lectures from London. I took the flash drive from the conference. My father’s body lay in front. I placed the flash drive in his hand. I put my head at his feet and said, ‘Dad, I’m sorry, I should never have behaved like that with you.’

This appeal was made regarding the incidents in Bangladesh.

Considering the oppression of Hindus, including ISKCON devotees in Bangladesh, Gopal Das appealed to everyone to raise their voice against the violence happening there.

He said: ‘Where is there no conflict? The fights happen from the smallest house to the fields. And I always say it’s more important to see what’s right and what’s wrong rather than getting caught up in who’s right and who’s wrong. We get confused about what and forget what. Wherever there is injustice, voices must be raised against it. Is violence correct? Is it okay to kill someone? Is it right to take away people’s rights? That is why it is very important to raise your voice when injustice occurs. I have always said that the world not only suffers from the violence of bad people, but that the world suffers more from the silence of good people. Good people are silent. Support what is right and fight for justice.
