Former German Foreign Minister Analna Bearebock, Mahasabha chose for 80th session – eSHOP24X7
The UN General Assembly presided over the next five regional groups every year: Africa, Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Latin America and Caribs, Western Europe and others. The 80s UN session Mahasabha will begin in September 2025.

In this context, the UN Mahasabha has become an important diplomatic contact and exchange forum without legally binding provisions on issues related to consensus and peace and security.
The UN Mahasabha has approved several proposals to end violent conflicts, which emphasize the implementation of the high fire, ensuring humanitarian aid and the protection of common citizens.
Commitment to honest effort
After being elected as president of Mahasabha, Analyna Barebock claimed to make an honest effort to unite all 193 member countries in the era of global challenges. He said it is better to stay together.
He presented a plan of three important priorities for the next term of the president of the General Assembly: make the organization more efficient and effective, promoting the 2030 Agenda of sustainable development and make the General Assembly an inclusive forum in the true meaning.
The former German Foreign Minister asked the United Nations in which everyone should be adopted. “I see that the diversity of the General Assembly is our power. This is the place where all nations meet and where each country has a seat and a voice.”
UN Initiative 80
At the same time, he has advocated gender equality, multilateralism, citizen society and the promotion of contact and conversation with young people.
Analyna Barebock also mentioned the Un80 initiative, which was introduced in March this year by Secretary General Antonio Guteres.
The newly chosen speaker of Mahasabha said that this initiative should not be limited to the exercise of generating deductions in expenses, but will have to be prepared to make difficult decisions with an intrepid ambition.
“Our shared objective is: a strong, centered, spontaneous organization and to adapt to the objectives. An organization that can carry out its basic objectives. We need the United Nations that meet the promises of peace, development and justice.”

‘Committed to multilateralism’
The current president of the UN Mahasabha, Philmon Yang, congratulated Analyz Barebock and gave him a leader who has an unwavering commitment to multilateralism.
The Chief of Mahasabha, Yang, expressed his confidence that he could restore confidence and promote dialogue going beyond existing cracks.
Secretary General Anantonio Gutersho said in his message that Analyz Barebock is driving these reins at a difficult and indefinite time for multilateral arrangements. She will be the fifth female leader to be chosen for this position.
The UN Chief said that there are other challenges that include violent conflicts, climatic disasters, poverty and inequality to the human family, and in view of this, the UN Mahasabha will have to find shared solutions together.
